I’m originally from Finland and began learning English at the age of nine, but I quickly developed a love for the language and, eventually, fluency. By high school graduation, I ranked in the top 3% in Finland’s matriculation exams for English. My interest in the language followed me to the United States, where I not only fine-tuned my skills but also found myself tutoring my American college peers in the nuances of effective writing—a skill that transcends linguistic boundaries.
Education
My academic path led me to a graduate degree in English, with a concentration on Technical and Professional Communication. This specialization honed my skills in writing for the web, a skill that emphasizes brevity, clarity, and persuasiveness. My interest in communication also led me to study marketing, earning graduate certificates in this field from two different countries.
Experience
Over the span of 19 years, my career has evolved from print advertising sales to online advertising and then to digital marketing. I’ve empowered clients to communicate their brand and value proposition effectively, working with a diverse range of businesses, from local entrepreneurs to well-known brands such as Ford, Chevrolet, and McDonald’s.
For seven years, I worked at Accenture, a technology consulting firm, where I led content marketing and global brand advertising. I produced three podcasts during this time, with two achieving more than half a million downloads. During my tenure, I helped overhaul Accenture’s YouTube channel to be more SEO-friendly, resulting in an immediate 10% increase in subscriber growth. My work also involved managing partnerships with renowned media entities like The New York Times, Harvard Business Review, The Economist, and NBC Universal.
